VIRGIN VIEWPOINT
It is a strategic place from which we can enjoy a panoramic view of the town of Macael, the quarries and slag heaps, the Almanzora Valley, and the Sierras de los Filabres and de las Estancias. It is crowned by a 3-meter-high white marble sculpture of the Virgen del Rosario.
CROSS OF MAY
Emblematic Macael white marble cross about three meters high. It dates from the s. XVII. It is located at the entrance of the town, on the complex “Cruz de Mayo”. It is a white cross on a marble pedestal with inscriptions on two of its sides: “THEY PLACED THIS HOLY CROSS WHILE JUAN PEREZ SANCHEZ AND JUAN TISERAS BEING STEWARDS. YEAR 1683 “.
ACEQUIA OF THE WELL OF THE MOROS
Old ditch of about 170 Mts. length from the Moorish period, made from a masonry wall. Currently rebuilt.
